CRYPTANTHUS

Cryptantus, also known as the ‘Earth Star’, is an unusual plant from the Bromelia family that exudes its charm through its unique shape and colour.

Cryptanthus is a versatile and colourful plant available in a wide range of shapes and shades. Although it belongs to the Bromeliad family, this plant does not grow on trees or rocks, but rather in soil – making it unique within its kind. Its star-like shape and vibrant colours make it a true eye-catcher in any space. The plant is known for its easy care, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts.

Care tips

The Cryptanthus is easy to care for. Place it in a bright spot, but out of direct sunlight to prevent the leaf colour from fading. Water the plant when the potting soil feels dry, but avoid letting water sit in the leaf rosette, as this can lead to rot. In winter, the Cryptanthus requires less water.

Is the Cryptanthus toxic? No! This little plant is completely safe for both pets and children so there’s no need to worry if they get close to it.
